Subaru STI 2008+ - Gearbox Dipstick Conversion Kit

Ever wonder why 2008–2021 STI models never came with gearbox dipsticks from the factory? While 2001–2007 STIs had them, Subaru eliminated the dipstick for the 2008+ generations. Checking your fluid level by removing the side leveling plug is messy and impractical.

We have engineered the perfect solution. Modern STI gearboxs feature a threaded hex fill plug in the exact location where the older models housed their dipstick tube. Our conversion kit utilizes this factory port. This upgrade is essential for both stock and heavily modified cars to prevent low fluid levels, premature component wear, and costly gearbox failure.

There are two available confgurations for order:

OIL DIPSTICK HOLDER

X Shift CNC Reduction Fitting:
- Custom-machined in-house to thread directly into the gearbox bellhousing
Copper Washer
- For a reliable, leak-free seal

Note: Without 2008+ OEM oil dipstick (requires a donor OEM dipstick).

OIL DIPSTICK HOLDER SET

OEM Dipstick:
- A genuine factory dipstick for perfect fitment and 100% accurate oil level readings

Note: only the reduction fitting is CNC-machined; the dipstick itself is a standard OEM component).

Installation

Installation proces is simple.

Remove intercooler (STi with upper-mounted)
Unscrew 10mm threaded hex plug
Install our conversion fitting by 27mm wrench
Insert the dipstick

Now you can easy check for gearbox fluid level quickly from engine bay!
