We've been keeping an eye on Adrian's progress in the UK, and it's great to see him continuing to deliver strong results with his Toyota GR Yaris. One standout performance came at Round 6 of the Javelin Sprint days and Japanese Sprint Championship, where he secured 1st overall despite a few unexpected challenges along the way.
The day didn't get off to the best start, with a broken exhaust hanger on the practice lap. However, the issue was dealt with, allowing Adrian to continue competing throughout the day. The makeshift repairs to Saturday's front splitter also held up throughout Sunday's sessions — a useful reminder that sometimes ingenuity is just as important as outright speed when competing at 135 mph.
Tyre choice proved equally important. After a difficult Saturday on a track covered in dirt and rubber marbles, fitting fresh tyres for Sunday made a real difference. The Yaris was back to its best, and Adrian's first run of the day was the fastest overall, with a potential new lap record adding to the achievement.
It was a fantastic result for Adrian and the Toyota GR Yaris, highlighting the pace and consistency needed to compete at the front.
It's great to see Adrian making his mark on the UK scene, and we'll be keeping an eye on his progress as the season continues. Congratulations on a brilliant result!
