Hampton Downs – A Textbook Comeback

Hacksaw Racing stunned at Hampton Downs, climbing from P24 to a P3 podium with Brett Celliers’s car equipped with X Shift’s Subaru sequential gearbox. ✔️

This past weekend, Hacksaw Racing delivered a performance that will be remembered, and we at X Shift Gearboxes couldn’t be prouder to have been part of it.

After months of rebuilding Brett Celliers’s car, Shadow, following a challenging crash earlier this season, the team arrived at Hampton Downs International Circuit with a fresh livery and a car fully equipped with our sequential gearbox. What unfolded was nothing short of spectacular.

From practice through qualifying and three intense races, the X Shift gearbox played a key role in every move. Despite a stall in race one and a shortened second race, the team demonstrated incredible skill and determination, climbing from P24 to P9 in just six laps, and ultimately claiming a P3 podium finish after a nail-biting final lap decided by just six hundredths of a second.

This result isn’t just a testament to Hacksaw Racing’s driver and his team — it’s also a showcase of what our Subaru gearbox can deliver under pressure. Smooth, precise shifts, consistent performance, and durability in the heat of competition were all on full display, proving that X Shift gearboxes are built for both reliability and performance at the highest levels of motorsport.
