Lukas Keller Claims First European Podium at GHD Ilirska Bistrica

The weekend of 29–30 August 2026 brought a major milestone for Lukas Keller at GHD Ilirska Bistrica in Slovenia: his first-ever podium finish in Europe.

Lukas left Slovenia with a result that marks an important milestone in his European racing season.

Driving his Mitsubishi equipped with an X Shift sequential gearbox, Lukas secured third place in his group. He went into the second run with a 10-second advantage, meaning the focus was on getting to the finish without giving away the position. Although the second run was slower, he successfully maintained the gap and secured the podium.

The combination of his Mitsubishi and our X Shift sequential gearbox once again proved itself in the demanding hill climb environment, where fast and smooth gear changes are an essential part of extracting the maximum from the car.

Beyond the result itself, Lukas also highlighted the atmosphere around the event and the support from the crowd:

“The fans were fantastic, and there were also a lot of Czech fans, which I really appreciated.”

A third-place finish at Ilirska Bistrica and a first European podium make this a weekend worth remembering.
